At the time of writing, the NFL season isn’t even underway, and yet, football fans across the continent already have their eyes fixed on the grand finale of the upcoming campaign.

Super Bowl LVIII will see the NFC and AFC champions meet on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in Paradise, Nevada, drawing in millions of football fans and anyone who wants to see a live performance from one of the most popular musicians in the world.

We won’t know which teams will be there yet – although the Kansas City Chiefs are, again, the favourites at +600 in the NFL odds – but the colossal event is always planned years in advance, so there’s plenty to dig into here.

Where Is Super Bowl 2024?

Super Bowl 2024 will be taking place in Paradise, Nevada, at the Allegiant Stadium. This places the game in the PST time zone, so the 15:30 local time kickoff will be at 18:30 on the east coast.

Having only opened in the summer of 2020, the Allegiant Stadium is the second-newest stadium in the league, opening just a couple of months before SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The home of the Las Vegas Raiders and UNLV Rebels wasn’t made to set new records for attendance, and is instead one of the lowest capacity stadiums in the NFL with 65,000 seats.

Nicknamed “The Death Star,” the stadium has already played host to the 2021 Pro Bowl and the 2020 and 2021 Pac-12 Championship Game, so the venue is well-versed in hosting major events.

Who Will Perform The Super Bowl 58 Halftime Show?

As one of the most-watched television events in North America each year, the halftime stage is regularly reserved for the biggest or a group of the biggest music artists in the world.

After Rihanna’s show at the 2023 Super Bowl, fans are expecting that level of international stardom to be met or even exceeded for the 2024 Halftime Show.

The big names being thrown around already are Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Canadian superstar Drake, Miley Cyrus, and Lil Nas X, but two others have been the clear focus of the rumours.

As one of the top-selling artists in the world, naturally, Taylor Swift is regularly touted as taking to the Super Bowl stage. However, it’d seem a big push for her to finish her dates in Tokyo on February 10 and then play the Super Bowl.

Seemingly, this paves the way for Harry Styles to sit as the frontrunner for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show, currently running hot following Love On Tour and winning the Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards.

It might be a little while before we find out who’s fully booked to perform the show, though. Rihanna’s booking was confirmed by the Barbadian singer on Twitter on September 25 last season.

Which Teams Will Play at Super Bowl LVIII?

The winners of the NFC Championship Game and AFC Championship Game in the NFL playoffs will go to Super Bowl 58, and there’s a lot of football to be played in the meantime.

As it stands, the Chiefs are the favourites to win the AFC in the playoffs at +330, with the Buffalo Bills close behind at +450 in the betting markets. Over in the NFC, it’s a close race between the Philadelphia Eagles (+300) and San Francisco 49ers (+350).

Chiefs favourites for 2024 Super Bowl

Importantly, while the Chiefs have been dominant in recent years under the coach-QB tandem of Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, a team hasn’t won successive Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2004 and 2005.

If this recent precedent holds true, the Eagles, 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals (+900 to win Super Bowl LVIII), and Buffalo Bills look to be the best-poised teams to take the NFL crown.

Top of the agenda are hockey, soccer, and boxing, but there's always time for the NFL, cricket, Formula One, and a bit of mixed martial arts.
