• From the groups to the final, these are our picks for every score at the Qatar World Cup.

  • Leading the odds as the favourites are France and Brazil.

  • See if we think there’ll be any shock results at the 2022 World Cup below.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is rapidly approaching, and with it, an ocean of World Cup odds to delve into before and during soccer’s greatest showpiece.

Taking place in the winter and in Qatar makes for a distinctly novel tournament, which is bound to trip up some of the nations with vaunted expectations heaped upon them.

Soccer fans will be treated to a Group Stage game every single day from November 20 all the way to December 2, with the knockouts starting December 3 until the World Cup Final on December 18.

Before the teams step foot in Qatar, Brazil and France are the clear frontrunners, with Argentina, England, and Spain close behind. That said, Germany, Belgium, and Portugal have the quality to upset the odds.

Unluckily for Japan and Costa Rica in Group E, and Canada and Morocco in Group F, they’ve drawn two European heavyweights – but there’s always one surprise entrant to the round of 16 at each World Cup.

For the Golden Boot, we have legends of the game in Cristiano Ronaldo (16/1) and Lionel Messi (14/1) in the mix, but given the strength of their groups, Harry Kane (7/1), Kylian Mbappe (9/1), and Karim Benzema (10/1) look set to get a jump start on the rest.

How Far Will Canada Go at the 2022 World Cup?

It’s been a long time coming, but Canada finally qualified for the FIFA World Cup. Importantly, Les Rouges didn’t merely squeak through: Canada topped the group thanks to a drastically superior goal difference.

Now, John Herdman is hoping that his star players will be raring to go, ready to upset the much higher-rated teams that the North American side faces in Group F.

First on the schedule is the toughest of the group, Belgium. Their golden generation is looking to finally fulfil its potential and, most likely, make an example of Canada.

That said, this side is without a major trophy for a reason. The Red Devils might slip up at the first hurdle, unable to handle the pace of Canada’s attack, at which point the live betting will be swarmed by fans.

After Belgium, it’s another European heavyweight, Croatia. Arguably, the Kockasti pose a tougher challenge, being much more astute defensively and in their structure, with fewer weak spots that could be exploited.

Finally, if either team can draw blood from Belgium or Croatia in the games prior, both Canada and Morocco might just be in with a shot at escaping Group F – adding a tremendous amount of drama to the final match.

On paper, Canada is at +1000 to win the group and +1400 to get to the quarter-finals for a reason. They’re in with two mighty teams in Belgium and Croatia, and common sense points to them both leaving the group.

However, Canada doesn’t necessarily need to get to the knockout stage to be a success. At the nation’s last and only World Cup showing, the team didn’t win, draw, or score. Achieving any of these will be a step forward.

This is especially true of this squad: one that’s headlined by very young star players. Canada will co-host the next World Cup, so Qatar 2022 could be considered a building block toward an even better 2026 campaign.

Here are our World Cup predictions for every game in the groups, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final. Find out which teams we think will find success at Qatar 2022 and which teams will struggle to impress.
